Britain has volatile weather. It can be a lovely sunny day and suddenly the clouds roll in and snow starts falling. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the sun rushes away in mortification, though. Sometimes opposing weather systems fight it out over our heads and all around us. On such a day last winter while we walked down Stoke Newington Church Street, the watery sun kept shining valiantly even as we were battered by wind and snow flurries.
